My Patrons

What is a Patron?

(Noun) A person who gives financial or other support to a person, organization, cause …

In the past, patronage was much more of a thing than it is today. It was recognised that in order to have the freedom to create, creators needed support. Not at the end, when there is something to sell, but during the process. I have set up an account on Patreon (, primarily to keep me on track with my writing and other creative pursuits, and also in the hopes that passers by will spare a few coins in my hat. In return, you will have my gratitude, sneak peeks at my works throughout the month, the opportunity to name characters, or possibly have a character based on you, and access to other goodies that I might be able to offer. I am prolific with ideas, and when I keep myself on track, I am a prolific writer too. I write for many audiences, so there is bound to be something of interest for many. If there is enough support, I will be able to not only support my family but I will be able to hire my friends, so that we can bring these works out to the public.

Thank you to the following people for their patronage:
  • Darren Close:  Darren is the creator and publisher of Australia's most iconic comic character, Killeroo. He has also worked for several international publishers over the years, including DC Comics' Wonder Woman '77. He also created OzComics, the largest Australian comics community of the early 2000s - which has since evolved into the Weekly Drawing Challenge on facebook for the last 5 years.
